Tiles are location trackers similar to Appleās Airtags. They come in four styles, Pro, Mate, Slim and Sticker. Tiles use Bluetooth to connect to your phone or Alexa, Google or Siri. With the free Tile app, you can find the last location of the tile and have it play a notification so that you can locate it. The Tile app is very easy to use, you can assign names to your Tiles, such as keys, carry-on or backpack. It also works in reverse; by pressing the tile, you can make your phone play a notification. I started using a Tile Mate on my keys, but after the spate of recent news stories about lost and stolen luggage, I have added them to all of my bags. On our recent trip to Germany and Poland, I was able to stand by the baggage claim and watch our bagsā location on my phone. When it showed that a bag was near based on signal strength, which happened as it came out of the chute, I activated the notification and listened for the luggage. This was great because the airline forced me to check my carry-on, which is black and looks like almost everyone elseās. I have a friend who uses the Tile Slim on his passport. You can buy tiles individually or in combinations. We use the Tile Mates combination of two white and two black so we each have our own. We found the Tiles to be very useful when traveling and recommend them.
